Fort Mason Annual Book Sale

I’ve waited a whole year for this weekend: Fort Mason’s Annual Book Sale!! This is one of my favorite places to be. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I love books!

I first started going to the book sale a few years ago. I always loved it but after finding out we were pregnant, it became even more special to me. This is a tradition I look forward to continuing with Lucy for many years to come.

It runs for the whole weekend (third weekend of September), Friday through Sunday (10am – 6pm), at the Fort Mason Pavilion Center in Fort Mason, San Francisco. Everything is $3 or less and on Sunday, everything’s dropped down to $1! They’ve got everything from thousands of kids books (all for $1), cookbooks, coffee table books, and even text books. You can find all types of fiction novels and non fiction books, and they even have DVDs and vinyl records.

If you’re in the area and have a few extra minutes, I really suggest stopping in! You can find some really good finds if you look closely. Lucy isn’t old enough to get excited about picking books out yet, but I can’t wait until she is. We’re going to have so much fun digging through everything and finding new books to read together.

If you’ve been to the big book sale or something similar in your area, what are some of the good finds you found? What are some of your favorite genres of books to find? I love hearing from you! Like, comment and share!
