Recently I was contacted by Raised Real to test their product, and I must say, I am SO impressed. What a great idea and the execution is awesome. I’ve been explaining this company has the “Blue Apron” of baby food, because that’s basically what it is. Making your baby’s food has now become easier than ever, and it’s all thanks to Raised Real!

So what makes them so awesome you ask?! Well, let me tell you! Not only is everything organic and freshly frozen, but the recipes and packages of meals are so creative and exciting. So many moms say they don’t have the time to make their own baby’s food, but now you can! All you have to do is open the package and dump it into the machine to steam and puree.

The package came quickly and was packaged really well. Since everything is kept frozen, they pack it with dry ice, so be careful with it. They sent us 5 different meals to try, which all come separately packaged for each meal. I was incredibly pleased with the meal concoctions, and Lucy is enjoying all the new flavors.

The machine itself is super easy to use and clean, which is a must for me, and most moms out there. The machine does get a little hot though, so be sure to keep baby’s hands away from it while steaming. It has little suction cups on the bottom to keep it in place while in use, which I thought was a nice safety touch. The directions are short and simple, which makes prepping mindless and quick. I’ve tried numerous different baby steamers and blenders, but I have to say this one is by far my favorite.

Some of you may have seen my Instagram story today, going through each simple step. I’ve decided to add that here, for those of you not on Instagram. I just want to show everyone how truly simple it really is.

You can prepare each meal in just 5 easy steps.

  1. Fill meal maker water reservoir.
  2. Empty packet contents into meal maker bowl.
  3. Lock lid and set steam time according to corresponding meal card.
  4. Blend to desired consistency.
  5. Let cool before serving.

And that’s it. How easy was that?! After you’re done, you just let it cool down and let your baby chow down. So far we’ve gotten to try a couple different meals, but we can not wait to try more soon! She’s loved them all so far. I typically don’t blend hers too much, as she seems to like chunkier, more textured food as she gets older, but you can blend yours as much or as little as you’d like. That’s the whole beauty of making your own baby food!
